Our Careteam

Rachel Oldham

Veterinary Technician

Rachel grew up in Norman with her parents, older sister, and the family pets. Animal care was a natural part of life from day one—by the time Rachel had decided that she’d like to work in the medical field, the choice was obvious. Veterinary medicine was the path for her! She’s now a Licensed Veterinary Technician and has been a part of the clinic family since January of 2016.

Rachel started working for a veterinary hospital in 2010 while attending Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City to study veterinary technology. She graduated in 2012 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and started working in the area shortly afterward. In 2015, Rachel decided to move to a more rural area and started working under Dr. Wright at a clinic in Purcell. When Dr. Wright became the owner of Silver Leaf Animal Hospital the next year, Rachel was more than happy to join the team! She particularly enjoys the fast-paced nature of emergency medicine, and she’s also fond of drawing blood and examining samples under the microscope.

When she isn’t caring for pets here at the hospital or relaxing with a good book, Rachel can be found spending quality time with her family. She lives in Norman with her husband, Colby, who works as a paramedic in Oklahoma City, as well as their son Blake. The family has a pair of long-haired dachshunds, Madison and Zoe, as well as two cats who go by Eva and Lady Matilda Rose.

Jennifer Richmond

Veterinary Assistant

Jennifer was the child who, at only five years of age, would beg her father to take her to the stockyards in hopes that she could bring home a duck or rabbit. As she got older, her passion for animals only grew. By the time Jennifer was taking her own pets to the local veterinarian’s office for care, her mind was made up: she wanted to become a veterinary professional herself!

Jennifer grew up here in Moore and earned her Associate’s degree from Rose State College. It was during her college years that she secured her first job in a veterinarian’s office—that office was here at Silver Leaf Animal Hospital! Jennifer has been a part of the clinic family since March of 2001, and serves the area’s pets and animal parents as a Veterinary Assistant.

Jennifer and her husband, Beau, have three young girls: twins Coley and Tenley as well as their youngest, Presley. The family stays busy with the twins’ sports games, and Jennifer also enjoys participating in church activities and cheering on the University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide.

Emily Robinson

Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist

Emily had adored animals all her life, but always wondered whether or not she’d be too squeamish to work in the medical side of pet care. When she started out in the veterinary field as a receptionist and started helping hands-on with procedures, her doubts vanished—Emily quickly realized that she’d found her passion!

Emily is a native of Norman and first signed on at a clinic there while earning her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Oklahoma. It wasn’t long before she started receiving cross-training to become a Veterinary Assistant. Next, Emily joined the team here at Silver Leaf Animal Hospital in early 2016 after being recruited by a former co-worker (the hospital’s very own Rachel!). Medically, she likes examining samples under the microscope and also enjoys the challenge of placing catheters. Most of all, Emily loves getting to know the area’s animal companions and pet parents on a daily basis.

In her time away from work, Emily enjoys reading good books, cooking and baking, and spending time with her family and pets at home. She and her boyfriend, Ben, live in Norman with two dogs—Taco, who sneezes when he gets too excited, and floppy-eared Toby—as well as a large brown tabby cat named Grendel and a food-loving orange tabby who goes by Bill.

Sandi hasn’t looked back since! She’s happy to now serve pets and their loving owners as a member of the Silver Leaf Animal Hospital family.

Sandi grew up as the oldest of five children in Oklahoma City. She began her veterinary journey at a clinic in Florida, then moved back to Oklahoma with her family and took an office job. She makes it her mission every day to keep each and every visitor to the clinic happy and comfortable, whether they have four legs or just two!

Outside of work, Sandi enjoys gardening, playing the piano, spending quality time with her grandchildren, and doting on her cats.
